I ate at the Mad Greek when I was a student at Case Western, which is about four blocks away. At the time (1987 - 1995), the Indian and Greek menus were adequate but not superlative. Service was absolutely awful. On one occasion, I found a two inch metal staple in my chicken (probably from the plastic bag the chicken came in). Upon summoning the waiter, instead of solicitous response, he asked me, `Why did you put it there?`. Attitudes like that turned me off the Mad Greek, and I learned there were better Indian and Greek restaurants in Cleveland Heights and Shaker Heights.
